To raise funds for Equine Animal Rescues, we take pledges and donations for durations and distances of particular riders who ride trigger for as long as possible. The longer the ride, the more money raised. This brings a need for lady riders to ride.

To be a rider and help with this charity you must be adventurous and ready to have fun. Your size does not matter, in fact, taller and more challenging riders will sometimes help bring in larger pledges and donations as the difficult level for the horse (trigger) is increased. Several riders who have ridden trigger have been 6' or taller and over 200 pounds. So please, do not let your height and weight influence your desire to help with this cause and be a rider.

Riders Needed

There is a need for several types of riders. First, someone who will be the training rider. Second, someone who will be the charity event rider. Third, anyone who wants to ride to raise money for Animal Rescue.

The Training Rider

A Training Rider is needed in the Cape Cod, MA area and sometime after July in Northwest Nevada! If you are interested in having a pony boy to ride as often as you can, please drop me an right away... Age, Height, Weight, etc.. does not matter. A desire to ride a lot and have fun would be nice!

This is the rider who will ride on a regular basis to build up the stamina and endurance of the horse. She will have total control over the training with a goal to increase the riding durations and distances over the course of her training. It would be prefered that she be goal oriented and set high goals with an aggressive nature to achieve these goals. She may be the only Training Rider or share the training with other Training Riders. Most likely, she will be the only Training Rider. She may prefer to remain private and out of the eye of others, or she may also be a rider for the fund raising events as well.

The Main Rider

The Main Rider will be the handler for trigger at the fund raising events. She will also be the rider for the pledges and the ride-a-thon portion of the fund raising. She will be seen riding at the events, on the website, in the public eye, newspapers, flyers, etc... Since the pledges are for durations and/or distance, as the rider she will strive to make the ride as long as possible so being strong minded and an aggressive rider would be helpful as well. As the handler, she will assist others in riding trigger and handle the donations and pledges. If possible she will help with organizing and taking pledges as well. She may also be a trainer.

The Event Riders

Other than The Main Rider, there may be riders who come to the fund raising event that have or have not ever ridden trigger or done pony play but will ride to raise money. We raise money with giving rides to any lady who wants to ride at the event. There are several ways to raise money in this form, first is a donation to ride. The amount of the donation does not matter as every little bit helps, but there will be a scale for a basis of how long a ride one should expect depending on the amount of the donations. Larger amounts will of course mean longer rides.

The other option is to take pledges for the duration or distance this particular lady might ride prior to the ride and then do a ride with a goal for the longest possible ride to result in higher donations of the pledge amounts.

What is Involved?

The idea is to raise money AND have fun. As a rider, there are some things to keep in mind.

Be Seen

First, you should be willing to be seen riding publically, unless you are just a Training Rider of course. You will be seen riding via promotional photos as well as those at the events during the fund raising. We will also offer photos of the riders to sell with both the Event Riders and those that just come out to help raise money for the animals.

Be Determined

Second, determination as a rider. You should be willing to be strong minded and motivational to trigger your human horse. This is to ensure rides that are long and raise more money for our cause. As the horse I believe you can't be too aggressive in riding to benefit this great cause. It should be noted that I do go into a deep headspace as a horse and sometimes will need the motivation from my rider's whip or spurs to bring out the animal response.

And Ride

Third, it is helpful to have some time practicing and building up your riding skills as well as the stamina of the horse for your style of balance in riding.

Lastly.... HAVE FUN!
